I trust everyone is doing well!!

The weather is improving so we can all spend more time outdoors in the sunshine and fresh air! I know my family is excited about our scheduled pool opening on May 1st.  

I hear that’s early, but I just read that the Japanese blossoms in Japan are in bloom the earliest it’s even been since 812.  Yes. 812, 1209 years ago.  Maybe global warming is a thing and fingers crossed for early summer weather.

My indoor Peloton bike paid with my stock hacking returns finally arrived.  Who knew in-home exercise equipment would be so popular. 

With the impending return to lockdown in Ontario, I bet my exercise bike has gone up in value, but no way I’m selling it. I need to get rid of my Covid 15 as in 15 extra pounds I’m carrying around.

The bike is still covered in plastic because my kitchen and bathrooms are being renovated hopefully in time for our move on Easter Monday.

I do not enjoy moving houses.  All the packing, organization, plus we’re moving into a house with less storage space and no backyard shed, so this isn’t easy. Thankfully our live-in nanny has done most of my packing 🙂

I do love having a nanny.  Once in the new house, I’ll have her learn how to use Cherry’s housewarming present, a Traeger wood-fired BBQ, to smoke us some salmons and briskets and wings :). I can’t wait to entertain friends and family in our new backyard.

This week we have a former Airbnb executive who was responsible for much of North East of North America, but he left his dream job to start ‘Life at Key’, where he is making a difference by making real estate, specifically condos, available to folks with as little as 2.5% down. 

This is not the traditional rent-to-own investment strategy either, and I’ve never heard anything like this before, so I hope you social capitalists like me enjoy this show.

Daniel Dubois shares his journey with his startup in the sharing economy before joining Airbnb.  He has some tips on operating a short-term rental business as well.
